Kirin short circuited and Teostra repelled!

Well it's been a busy week for me, to say the least my life is changing every minute. I just got a new car, which mean I'll probably be working more and stuff... bleh. I've also decided.. to take a break from World of Warcraft for a couple of weeks. I'm not really sure how many yet, but I want some time to catch up on my school work and get a bit of work in. This doesn't mean I will stop playing Monster Hunter 2, but I will be doing it a bit less. So expect delayed updates(Sorry ^^;).

Well in the last week, I went up against Kirin in MH2. This wasn't the first time I've fought him, but that didn't make it any easier. The thunder horse gave me a good match, making me use all of my potions, with low health remaining. In the end he meet his demise to my axe though. :)

Also I went to try my skills on another elder dragon this week. Teostra one of the elder fire dragons, to say the least has some amazing powers... like beyond anything I've fought so far. I thought Kushala Doara was hard, but I guess the mountain climb is just beginning. Basically this elder dragon has a fire aura that eats your life away. So I used some of the Kusha and Basarios pieces I had to make a armor suit that would negate some of the damage.
Sadly, even with it the aura does considerable damage. Not only do you have his aura to worry about, but he attacks with a speed greater than Kusha as well I believe. Another trick he will pull is his explosion field. First he'll emit some intense flames, click his fangs and explosions will randomly appear in one of three places, close to him, mid-range, and far-range. It is almost impossible for me to predict where they will land so I have to carry my sword and shield and block when apporiate. Other than that he has a fire breath attack that does about 3/4's health buffed, otherwise it will usually just one shot you, especially if he is in rage mode. So after many attempts and deaths, I repelled him twice. The kill will probably come later this week, but until then I have a challenge on my hands. :)
